Keep reading to learn more about these RVs, then visit Independence RV to explore Bay Star and Mountain Aire motor homes for sale. Our dealership is located in Winter Garden, Florida, and we proudly serve those in Orlando and The Villages as well.
The Type Of Motor Home
Each model falls into a different category of RVs. The Mountain Aire is a luxury motor coach, boasting many features to make vacations as comfortable as possible. The Bay Star is a gas motor coach that offers fewer features in order to keep the cost lower.
The Price
The price difference between these models is significant. The Mountain Aire starts at around $630,000 while the Bay Star starts at around $150,000. Both motor homes have optional add-on features to explore, which will also increase the starting price.
The Design
Both motor homes come with style choices for the exterior, interior, and wood. The Mountain Aire offers four options for each category while the Bay Star offers three options for each category.
The Floor Plan
The Bay Star line offers more floor plan options, which can be especially helpful for those with unique layout preferences or needs. The increase in choices increases the chances of finding a good match. Bay Star motor homes come in 12 floor plans, one of which is new for 2021. These RVs can also be 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, or 38 feet long.
The Mountain Aire line offers fewer choices, but still has variety. There are seven floor plan options, three of which are new for 2021. These motor homes are either 41 or 45 feet long.
The Chassis and Engine
Both models are crafted with quality chassis and engines. The Mountain Aire uses the Spartan K3 Tag Axle Chassis, which gives 500 horsepower and 1,695 lb./ft. of torque. This leads to an incredible driving experience, especially in making uphill driving and towing easier.
The Bay Star uses a Ford® F-53 Chassis with 7.3Ltr V-8 Engine. The exact specifications depend on the specific floor plan, but it provides plenty of power for road trips.
The Driving Experience
Both motor homes are made with safe driving in mind. The Mountain Aire model does offer many more features, including Comfort Drive™ adaptive steering, standard Mobileye® lane tracking, tire pressure monitoring, and OnGuard™ collision mitigation technology. The Bay Star comes with features such as a tilt steering wheel.
The Optional Features
Each motor home can be upgraded with many different features. For example, the Mountain Aire can include a dishwasher, kitchen window, and a Sleep Number® adjustable mattress. The Bay Star can include a fireplace, recliners, and storage ottomans. There are more luxurious optional features for the Mountain Aire line, but there are still plenty of add-ons for the Bay Star.
Choosing The Right Motor Home
At the end of the day, it's about which model best suits your lifestyle. Either motor home will offer a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable travel experience. The Mountain Aire is best for those wanting the more luxurious travel experience while the Bay Star is best for those on a tighter budget.
