The 2022 Dutch Star diesel pusher is one of Newmar’s most popular motorhomes. It is available in 37 to 43 ft. floor plans. The Freightliner® XCR Chassis continues as the standard chassis, with an optional upgrade and commensurate price adjustment to a Spartan® K2 Chassis. All 2022 Dutch Stars have Newmar’s popular Comfort Drive™ Steering System which provides driver-friendly benefits like “auto-centering” after a 90-degree turn, as well as uneven road and wind resistance steering compensation to for better handling and less driver fatigue. The 40 and 43 ft. RVs have the Passive Steer technology. This exclusive feature allows for tighter turns. All 2022 Dutch Star motorhomes are equipped with the Cummins 9L 450HP diesel engine.

Dutch Star presented in four Full-Masterpiece Finish™ Paint Schemes

This year’s Dutch Star is presented in four Full-Masterpiece Finish paint schemes, each with Clearcoat Finish and Diamond Shield on the front cap. Two exterior paint scheme names have been retained for 2022, but the design and color palette have been modified. These exterior colors include – “Fulton” and “Wylie.” Two new exterior paint colors, “Bahama” and “Mirage” have been added to the 2022 Dutch Star offerings. INTERIOR DECORATIONS

Four interior décors are offered in the 2022 Dutch Star they include “Bahama,” “Fulton,” “Mirage” and “Wylie.” The interior features carrying each of these design elements include furniture and fabrics, flooring, and polished solid surface counter tops. Two of the selections, “Fulton” and “Wylie” have been carried over from their 2021 introduction. Both “Bahama” and “Mirage” are all-new for 2022.

WOOD DESIGN

Four wood finishes are available in the Dutch Star including one new treatment - “Toffee Glazed Maple.” The three wood stain treatments retained in the 2022 design selection include “Bermuda Glazed Maple,” “Glacier Glazed Maple,” and “Sable Maple.” Each of these attractive hardwoods is available in either “High Gloss” or “Matte Finish.”

New Highlights for 2022 for the Dutch Star by Newmar

Here are some highlights of new features, upgrades and options for Newmar’s 2022 Dutch Star diesel pusher.
 
  • Villa Comfort Fit is the standard furniture offered. This change in style also impacts the cockpit’s driver and passenger seats.
  • The change in furniture design will eliminate the pull-out drawer under the living room’s jackknife sofa.
  • An option for two ottomans is available in the new model year.
  • The standard passenger’s seat is the same size as the driver’s seat. A new option for a wider passenger’s seat is available for 2022.
  • Heated driver’s and passenger’s seats are no longer a standard feature; however, an option for heated seats is available for 2022.
  • New optional theater seats measuring 74” in length are now available on select floor plans.
  • Optional recliners are provided by REM brand furniture.
  • The wheelchair accessible DSDP 4311 floor plan has been modified to have a king-size bed as standard equipment with a slightly reduced adjacent shower room (48” x 36”) to allow more room for bed to wheelchair transfer. An option is available to return to a queen bed with a larger (62” x 36”) shower.
  • The Cummins L9 diesel engine has been slightly modified to meet the new emission standards for 2022.
  • The glass dash on the Freightliner chassis has been slightly redesigned.  
  • The 2022 Dutch Star features a new 9” Xite dash monitor system with Nav-N-Go Navigation System which replaces the Rand McNally Navigation which no longer supports RV applications.
  • The height of the bottom of the kitchen cabinets has been raised to 18.5” above the kitchen countertop, resulting in a slightly larger backsplash.
  • The optional kitchen window will be taller as a result of the cabinet height adjustment.
  • The 110-volt receptacles in the bedroom have been relocated to inside the nightstand just like those on the King Aire.
  • An “all lights off” function has been added to the KIB switch panel in the bedroom to replace the individual turning “off” of light switches.
  • The Bose® Solo 5 sound bar is being replaced by the manufacturer for a new Bose sound bar, this new Bose sound bar is also featured in the optional exterior entertainment center.
  • The Winegard® Ranger Wi-Fi option has been retained for 2022, but the Winegard cellular in-motion option is no longer available.  
  • The standard hydronic Chinook heater on the Oasis System changes to a dual loop Chinook System.
  • A chair rail with smoked mirror will be featured in eight of the 2022 Dutch Star models which include: 3709, 3736, 4020, 4081, 4326, 4328, 4363, and 4369.

2022 DUTCH STAR SPECIFICATIONS

Dutch Star is supported by Newmar’s STAR Foundation, which improves strength and durability while providing a quieter and more stable ride than any other Class A coach. A 450-horsepower diesel engine and Comfort Drive™ adaptive steering come standard.

In addition, the 2022 Dutch Star is fitted with a cargo liner, 5/8” floor decking, 5/8” bead foam, and galvanized sheeting to prevent distortion.

2022 DUTCH STAR CONSTRUCTION

Like a well-constructed home, the 2022 Newmar Dutch Star is framed every 16 inches on-center. It is covered by a fiberglass roof with an integrated gutter rail.
